Oh hello! You like talking about lindy hop too?? Well, good news! Now we can chat about it with our world-wide lindy tweeps on Twitter.
So tell me what you’ve been wanting to talk about, what unanswered questions you’ve been pondering. Especially leave suggestions of topics that will incite rousing discussion.
I can think of a TON of things lindy hoppers like to talk about. What topics and questions can you think of?
I’m excited to be hosting my first lindy chat this Friday April 27 at 3pm PT. Let’s talk about INSPIRATION.
- Who or what inspires you in your dancing?
- Who do you inspire?
Come contribute or just lurk at the Lindy Chat this Friday April 27 at 3pm PT / 6pm ET. See you all there!
[Head here if you need help getting started.]
What do people love and hate about social dance etiquette? Read the prettier, chronological chat log on Storify. Otherwise, read it here from the bottom up.

This week’s topic: DANCE EVENTS. (I know, it’s a juicy one.)
What makes ‘em good? What makes ‘em bad? Join your dance pals this Wednesday at 3pm PST, 6pm EST for an hour of banter and opinions. Grab tea, grab coffee, and bring a story of your favorite (or least favorite) dance event.
Oh, and tell your friends.
We’re still deciding who will host. Perhaps it will be a ninja. UPDATE: @rebeccabrightly is hosting, unless @kujakuseki is available, in which case he’ll host. If all else fails, we WILL call in a ninja.
This was our first #lindychat. Lots of people in attendance from Australia to Switzerland. These tweets are in reverse order, so start at the bottom. Cheers!
Wednesday’s topic of rousing discussion: Quitting.
Rather than start at the beginning of lindy hop, we’re starting at the end. We’ll chat about what makes people quit or come close. We’ll share what motivates us to stick with it. And maybe we’ll even ponder how we can fix the problem of quitting, if we can fix it at all.
P.S. Share this post and make sure your friends are there!
