Oh hello! You like talking about lindy hop too?? Well, good news! Now we can chat about it with our world-wide lindy tweeps on Twitter.
So tell me what you’ve been wanting to talk about, what unanswered questions you’ve been pondering. Especially leave suggestions of topics that will incite rousing discussion.
I can think of a TON of things lindy hoppers like to talk about. What topics and questions can you think of?
Sincerely,
@RebeccaBrightly

Okay, not topics for right now, because I’ve found these to be super-de-duper controversial (and I like lindychat too much to encourage something that might sink it), but perhaps for later on:
- Gender in lindy hop, and the breaking down of gender norms
- Race in lindy hop…historically and today
Maybe sooner:
- How do we use all this newfangled technology to form communities around swing dance that aren’t physical or geographically limited. What online communities are successful, and why? Which aren’t, and why?
- Twitter book club…like discuss “Jukin’” or “Jazz Dance.”
- What are bits of swing etiquette that people love/hate? What would you start/keep/change about the social rules that swing dancers live by at dances?
<3 lindychat! So excited to see such a great use of social media for the good of lindy hop!

Curious – how to practise / learn away from classes/freestyles as a beginner/improver?
Are there decent video resources to learn lindy (well taught lindy)?
Great to see #lindychat
